For the Unscripted Residential Studio's latest project, they were challenged with breathing life into a rather dull shell of a home in Castle Pines, Colorado. The team's goal was to create a vibrant and warm design that would remove the stark presence from the home and fill it with bright and rustic-inspired elements, like one-of-a-kind accessories and carefully curated furnishings, leaving a colorful Colorado oasis reflective of the clients' personalities.
"The client's existing house felt very sterile to them, so a huge goal of mine was to bring warmth and comfort throughout so their house could finally feel like a home, be it through mixing in personal photography at the entry or adding in custom pieces that reflect their travel and personalities." – Rebecca Moore, Senior Interior Designer, Residential
Out In The Open
Tall ceilings and window-covered walls allow sunlight to spill into the openness of the space, which is why project lead and Senior Designer Rebecca Moore knew she needed to incorporate contrasting elements to draw the eye. Concrete pendant lights in a warm terracotta adorn the kitchen ceiling, while the expansive fireplace, with its roman clay finish, commands attention against the light interior. Curated furnishings with dark finishes tie it all together and offer endless opportunities to mingle or relax, whichever the occasion may call for.
Earthy Escape
While the views alone are enough to transform you into a tranquil state, layers of cozy linens and earth tones fill the rooms with a blanket of calm—the perfect contrast to the pops of vibrant color throughout the home.
Pattern Play
Situated off the entry, the powder bath provides a playful moment for the eyes. A patterned custom mural by our dear friend and muralist, Genevieve Smith, draws inspiration from Southwestern textiles and pairs perfectly with gorgeous existing black tile. The contrast between the two creates a moody element of movement we just can't get enough of.
Colorful Curations
Senior Designer Rebecca Moore curated every moment of the home with a vibrant palette in mind. From the custom art in the office to the bold colors present in the different textiles of the home, a bright and warm energy radiates within each and every room.
"I knew I needed to make a statement in the entry, so I quickly began searching for a one-of-a-kind piece. That's when I found a beautiful vintage Moroccan rug that perfectly tied in all the colors throughout the home." – Rebecca Moore, Senior Designer, Residential
