We’re delighted to announce that we’re featured in the latest issue of Sunset Magazine for our work on this Park City mountain retreat!
Talk about teamwork making the dream work. Our very own Nicole O'Neil and Kimberly Kang, NCIDQ made this Modern Americana mountain house peak perfection. Putting their own spin on traditional elements, they designed this home to inspire their client—and their client’s entire family. With rustic accents and a curated art collection, every space in this modern mountain home is intentional—with built-in uses for all ages and all seasons.
“Since our client didn’t want their home to feel too much like a ski lodge, we focused on intriguing, custom design solutions with rustic accents, such as heirloom-quality lighting with some key fixtures—like the ornate antler chandelier in the primary bedroom.” —Nicole O’Neil, designer.
An ode to craftsmanship and quality in every detail, this Park City dream home is adorned with meticulous custom metal and millwork, hand-painted and custom mosaic tile with plaster wall treatments and locally sourced Park City Gold Limestone. Each room is thoughtfully designed with a juxtaposition of organic and structured materials, custom furnishings, and the owners’ personal art collection. A mix of new and vintage textiles offer both comfort and style in the bedrooms and living spaces, while elegant accents infuse personality throughout. A collaborative project between close-knit industry-leading professionals, this home makes everyone feel at home—the epitome of livable, luxury design for vacations well spent.
“Since we worked with the architects from the very beginning of this project (Mike Woodley of Woodley Architectural Group), we were able to inject our thinking into the plans at the earliest possible moment—enabling us to maximize the intentionality of our design. We just love when that happens—everybody wins.” —Kimberly Kang, Director of Design
This project recently received a Gold Nugget merit award (a 49-year-strong institution honoring creative achievements in architectural design and land use) for Best Interior Design for a One-of-a-Kind Home as well as a Silver Nationals award by the National Association of Home Builder for Best Interiors of a Custom Home.
